Winter 2019 update

Hi everyone!

It's been a busy few months and I've just finished my last gig of the year this weekend so I thought now would be a good time to write a new post.

I've had a few fundraising concerts and I am so grateful to everyone who came and helped to organise them. In October I played at a gorgeous wine and cheese evening in Neston and in November I played at the Williamson Art Gallery and at candlelit concert in Christ Church Moreton. From these gigs, I raised just under £1000 to help towards my studies in Spain - so a big thank you to everyone once again!

This weekend I played as part of the D2e Duo in the beautiful Russian Orthodox church in Wallasey; An Evening of Russian Guitar Music. We played works by contemporary Russian composers, traditional Russian folk songs and Yvonne played some Russian 7 string guitar solos. As ever, the majority of our programme was made up of works by living composers and we played four pieces by Irina Bragina. With a great turnout, we were able to make a healthy donation to the church to help with the restoration of the windows. Thank you to all at the church who helped make it a successful evening!

I am slowly finishing up my teaching jobs and am looking forward to intensively practising my new repertoire for my studies in Spain... I'm counting down the weeks! Keep an eye on my events and Twitter page to catch me before I head off.

Hasta luego!
