Carmen Guzmán Recording Project
In celebration of Guzmán’s centenary in 2025, Eleanor is working with the amazing team at Pixaudio to undertake a major recording project that will feature world premiere recordings of Guzmán’s unpublished and previously unrecorded works.
This recording project is important as it will be the first recording fully dedicated to the works of Guzmán and will promote wider engagement with her music and the music of Latin American women composers, supporting repertoire diversification and gender inclusivity in the guitar canon and wider classical repertoire.​
Carmen Guzmán (1925-2012) holds a cherished place in Argentina’s musical heritage. Her evocative guitar works, poetry, and deep connection to folk traditions bridges the classical and the popular, the intimate and the universal. Though she was admired in her lifetime, many of her compositions - particularly her unpublished works - remain unjustly hidden from the global stage.

The recording will take place in Autumn 2025, with the CD release in March 2026, with launch concerts taking place in London and Liverpool.
